There have been a number of suggestions for our Monday & Wednesday Swindle Rules – hopefully this will help keep everyone on the same page, help speed play and get us all in before it’s dark!

So the changes are as follows:

1. These Winter rules will run up to 31st March 2026.
2. Yellow Tees / Winter Mats – 100% Course Handicap.
3. Swindle is optional on a per round basis – if you are NOT in it – just let your playing partners know – BEFORE you start.
4. NO requirement to enter NAS competitions to be in the swindle. Should miraculously the weather allow an AS comp – then normal comp. rules would apply.
5. Pick & Place allowed on fairways i.e In line with the width of the fringe, if not cut i.e 3rd before green / area over 12th ditch.
6. Bunkers Out of Play – drop behind, no nearer and in line!
7. Mats allowed in swindles – only use on the fairway – NOT the rough
8. To help Speed of Play – If your ball lands in leaves, or rough and cannot be found, you may drop (or place) a ball in that ‘expected place’ – This place MUST be agreed by your playing partners – No penalty.
   IF it looks like the ball has gone OOB, take a provisional!
   If you are in any official competition – this rule does not apply – Comp rules only!
